So far I've been using the built in textfields to write my stories. Some of them have lists and images, so I have to add in Html codes, which is ok, but not really very convenient for writing long texts. Today I will show you how to add a custom module to Drupal which will make your life easier when writing a lot of content. Instead of the text entry to look like this

How to add a Story to a Drupal Blog

Yesterday I explained how I installed Drupal on my Site5.com account using the Fantastico script installer. I also created the first content, but I didn't really show you how to do this.

Today I'll explain how you can create content in Drupal that will make you rich and famous!

When you are logged in to your Drupal site, you see the administration menu on the left side bar. The second option should be "Create Content" and when you click on it you should see two options:

In order to get rich with Drupal first you have to install it on a webhost. I have signed up with Site5.com which I have used for other projects before. They are cheap (under $10 per month for unlimited websites, unlimited space and unlimited bandwidth) and the service is good.

There are two ways in which Drupal can be installed on Site5:

  • manually (the hard way
  • via Fantastico (the easy way)
